Caleb Dardick speaks about The Adventures of Superfreak: My Childhood on the Hippie Trail, the counterculture of the 1970s, disability and family, and what it meant to “drop out” — and what comes next. He welcomes the chance to engage readers in conversation about freedom, belonging, and the complicated inheritance of idealism.

A longtime storyteller, Caleb has shared work at Beyond Borders in San Francisco and at the Sierra Storytelling Festival.

Caleb is currently scheduling readings, conversations, and appearances for bookstores, literary festivals, universities, book clubs, disability organizations, and communities interested in the history and legacy of the counterculture.

Events can be tailored to audience and format, including:

  • Author readings and Q&A
  • Conversations on disability and family
  • The cultural history of the Hippie Trail
  • Book club discussions (in person or virtual)
